Our approach
We start by reviewing regional geological and hydrogeological data, existing well records and recharge conditions. Field observations and, where needed, geophysical surveys identify potential aquifers, and we recommend well locations and depths that minimise investment risk. After drilling, pumping tests establish the actual well yield and the safe abstraction rate the aquifer can sustain.
Deliverables
- Hydrogeological study report and maps
- Well siting and design recommendation
- Pumping test evaluation report
- Technical file for permit applications
Who is it for?
Industrial facilities and industrial zones, irrigation investors, mining sites, municipalities and any organisation that needs drinking or process water.
Frequently asked questions
How is a borehole location selected?
Regional geology, aquifer properties, data from nearby wells and, where needed, geophysical (resistivity) measurements are combined to select the point and depth with the highest probability of good yield.
Why is a pumping test necessary?
A pumping test reveals the actual yield, drawdown and hydraulic parameters of the aquifer. It is essential for correct pump selection and for protecting the resource from over-abstraction, and is required in permitting.
