Frequently asked questions
Do I need a hydrogeological study before drilling a water well?
Yes. Groundwater exploration and use permits in Turkey require technical reports submitted to DSİ. Correct siting and depth also significantly reduce the risk of low-yield or dry wells and unnecessary drilling costs.
Where do you work?
We are based in Ankara and carry out fieldwork across all provinces of Turkey. We also provide consultancy support on international projects.
What is the difference between a geological and a geotechnical investigation?
A geological investigation describes the rock types, structure, faults and natural hazards of a site. A geotechnical investigation quantifies the engineering behaviour of soil and rock (bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability). Most projects need both.
What information should I share to get a proposal?
The site location (province/district or coordinates), the purpose (e.g. irrigation, industrial water, construction, geothermal), any existing well or report data and your target schedule. A short call is enough to define the scope.
